October 18th – A Camponotus Update
They have grown! Just moved them into some pencil boxes with some sand covering the bottom. It is starting to cool down, so I think they’ll start hibernating soon. Anyway, check the video out!

So this car used to be a special edition color changer. Got it a few years ago (maybe 4 or 5). It hasn’t aged well. The paint is exceptionally fragile, chipping incredibly easily. I still love this car, and it makes sense for this to be my first modded car. I am going for a …

I have always wanted to modify and customize model cars. Add details, repaint, and remake the car in general. Create something that couldn’t necessarily fit into the one dollar budget. It makes me happy to create something I can call my own. Here is a start to a new hobby.
My Camponotus Ant, Camponotus Pennsylvanicus. This queen is actually what inspired me to start ant keeping again. I found her outside a hotel that we were staying at (check out my Moving Mixup blog). I didn’t have a test tube, so I kept her in a small glass bottle until I found some. There, she …

Today I added a clamp and baseboard to the design. Relatively simple, and quite stress-free after I realize I can always come back and remodel the specific clampings. Anyway, relatively simple, so I just talk through what I am doing, and what this part will achieve. I guess the next step is to model the …
Whew, that is one wordy title, but I literally can’t think of any way to condense it anymore… I am currently building a more efficient and less labor-intensive way of vacuum pumping my vacuum-sealed bags (check out my previous post). Anyway, I was originally planning on using a hydraulic actuator to push the …

So, we are in full swing of the process of packing and moving to my new home. This isn’t our first rodeo, so we have a bit of experience on what to expect, and how to conduct the move. One of the few new products that we are using this time is the vacuum sealed …
