My Camponotus Ant, Camponotus Pennsylvanicus. This queen is actually what inspired me to start ant keeping again. I found her outside a hotel that we were staying at (check out my Moving Mixup blog). I didn’t have a test tube, so I kept her in a small glass bottle until I found some. There, she has laid a good first batch of eggs, soon to hatch into her nanitic (first workers). I can’t wait for this colony to grow, as they are quite slow compared to other ants, especially the one coming next.
