May 17th – A Day in the Life of Rathan M.

We have moved all our items to either a secondary storage location or our warehouse in Elberton.

This experience is quite surreal. It was, and still is sort of like a dream. I get to eat out for every meal of the day. Each night we stay in a hotel of some sort. I am realizing the full effects of the pandemic now. Traffic is at a bare minimum. There are no people about, and tourism has crashed.
This change has been replicated in my virtual stock simulation. I have had to make rapid changes to not go negative. Though, with this downfall, there will soon be a rise that I can capitalize on.
Anyway, there is nothing much to days anymore. I get up, brush my teeth, and head downstairs for the brown paper bag hotel breakfast. After a bunch of TV and cereal, we vacate the hotel by 11:00.
I usually tag along with my parents to the workplace. It is actually quite fun. I got the opportunity to setup the laser that was recently purchased, as well as the software that went with it. Part of the building has a bunch of electronic junk that was left by Honeywell, the previous owners of the building. I have found hours of fun in taking apart and repurchasing or reusing these parts. Currently, I am trying to figure out how to create a speaker system using the parts from old, handheld landline receivers.
Anyway, the novelty hasn’t worn off yet, and I’m having plenty of fun. I’ve even started my summer reading list that one of my teacher’s provided me with. It consists of the many books that are standard curriculum for high school. If I read them now, I won’t have to endure the agony of suspense when reading them in class a few years from now.
In conclusion, this has definitely been a very interesting experience. I enjoy the promise that tomorrow brings unlike I ever have before.
